army fitness runtime?

so ive been posting a lot of questions on joining the army including the amount of sit ups chin ups and push ups i can do but i want to know how to correctly do a run time, i have no way ive knowing how far i run or how long it takes me to do it so please let me know how i can do this and what are good run times for certain distances

Basically you're looking at the following. The Army Physical Fitness Test focuses on your upper body strength (Push Ups), your Abdominal Strength (Sit Ups), and your Cardiovascular Health (Run). You didn't post your age therefore I can't give you a variable for each event for your minimums. However, if you can hit about 42 Push Ups, 53 Sit Ups, and a run a 15:00 minute two mile you should be okay. For running on a track. If you're running on a 400 meter you will need to run eight laps to run a two mile. Also, below in my source is the minimum scores you need to pass a PT Score. Let it be known though that 50 in each event is no longer "acceptable" these days. BCT, AIT, and Active/Reserves/NG wants 60 minimum in every event.

My boyfriend had to run 2 miles in under 17 minuets.Do you have a local track? I know here we have one and 4 laps is one mile.My boyfriend also went to the recruiting station and they helped him train there before he went to BCT. Also to time just get a stop watch to time yourself, you can buy one or I know my cell phone has one on it even.
