Yes, it does. The moment that you are sworn in, after 9/11, you became a part of Operation Enduring Freedom and you will forever be known as a Veteran, now there is a difference in a Veteran and a Combat Veteran. But, not in benefits. |

Serving in times of war and in times of peace makes you a veteran. The fact you had served in the nation's military makes it so, and as long as you left with a honorable discharge, you gain whatever veteran's benefits by serving. |
