hi,
im going to US Navy boot camp on a couple months. i was wondering what the food will be like? what is there to eat at all 3 meals?

oh..and what kind of cereal do they have? i know they have cereal but thats all

Don't worry about eating. I'm sure they'll have anything to fit your diet style. I was in the Air Force though I imagine the menu is about the same.
Milk, juice, coffee, tea, water, fruit, cereal (several different cold cereals and oatmeal) sometimes grits, hash browns, bacon, sausage, any style eggs, toast, biscuits, hamburger gravy, otherwise known as SOS.
Lunch and dinner they have salads, entree, and vegetables, dessert, same beverages as breakfast, except no juice, bread, rolls.

I'm also going into the Navy in a couple months. I can't wait. What base will you go to for camp? If you're going to Great Lakes maybe we'll see each other... I have a lot of friends in the military and they've all pretty much said that they do feed you well. It's not the best food, but far from the worst. As far as what they feed you, I'm not sure. I've been told there's a different variety every day, but I'm not sure. Ask your recruiter. He or she will know... If they expect you to do PT all day you've got to figure they're going to give you good food. |

just ask your recruiter they know, and i wouldn't worry about the food, it's not that good. |

Regular food, the same stuff you eat at home. Avoid the eggs if you can there dehydrated in basic. You don't get enough time to taste it anyway. You eat so fast you rarely know what you had an hour later. It's not that bad though. |
