Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi said on Thursday in Marseille, where he attends the summit European People's Party, that Italy is heavily in debt for families who live well, according to television channel Rai News.
"If we add public finances private flow, a state that we are embarrassed by the families who live well, that's true economic situation in Italy," Berlusconi said.



Speaking to foreign journalists about the situation austerity plan approved last week by a new government chief Mario Monti Italian Government, Silvio Berlusconi expressed his belief that Italy will escape from the crisis.
