Bulgaria: A Canadian company discovered two important fields of gold
Two gold deposits with reserves estimated at over 100 tons, were found near the Bulgarian towns and Rakitovo Tran, announced the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism, stating that they are studied and developed by two Canadian subsidiaries of the company EUROMAX Resources.
The company operates Trace near Rakitovo Resources and Services EUROMAX near Tran, in the west. Both companies have studied the precious metals in the two areas for seven years and have asked the Ministry of Economy and Energy official record geological discoveries, said Ivailo Iliev, the Directorate for Natural Resources and concessions.
According to preliminary data from Rakitovo deposit contains seven tons of gold and 100 tons of silver, and one in Tran 100 tonnes of gold, the ministry said. Registration geological discoveries will allow companies to continue research for another year, and after processing samples, companies may request registration of commercial discovery and lease deposits for extraction. It is possible that deposits be higher than currently estimated.
Currently, a single gold mine is operational in Bulgaria, near the Celopeci being exploited all of a Canadian company.
