Chinese Disneyland, left derelict.
Along a road to the Great Wall, some construction, which could also be a tourist attraction, are now derelict.
Located on an area of 40 hectares and 45 minutes from downtown Beijing, is Wonderland's ruins. Construction was stopped for ten years now and promoter project developers as "the largest amusement park in Asia", informs Reuters.
Funds to complete the project were withdrawn because of disagreements on the price of land with farmers and local authorities. Now, the desert terrain can see skeletons of a castle, a palace and metal bars of a building that could be a playground right in the middle of the cornfield.
The author of the text and photos, Gray Davis, said he expected to be stopped by guards, but did not by any person to take him questions. Where to be a palace, the rooms were empty already high and dusty.
But Gray met with some farmers, who initially had held this land, and now use it again for grain growth. They dug a well and said plant start slowly and fit shelter trees near the deserted building. After more than ten years since investors have left, they do not believe that they will return.
