Elections in Egypt. Arabic is the conservative revolution
Results of the first round of elections in Egypt are of concern. Elections were won only by Islamist parties. It's hard to say who are reformists: Islamists and liberals?
Both sides are revolutionaries, but have different ways to reform the country: some will return to traditional Islamic roots, others will establish a secular and democratic state in which the rights and freedoms of citizens to prevail.
From the results of the election shows that they care less about Egyptian democracy as religion. It's hard to imagine that the future government will be more Islamist than before, will provide more freedoms and rights than did the Mubarak regime.
The question arises whether the revolution was rather one of economic reasons and not enough of reason to gain more freedom and to make Egypt a democratic country.
Islamic revival in the last half century since the fall of colonial empires, could reach up to the establishment of Islamic regimes throughout the Arab countries.
