Google celebrates the 125th anniversary of the birth of Diego Rivera
Diego Rivera (December 8, 1886 - November 24, 1957) was a Mexican muralist painter, activist Communist painter Frida Kahlo famous husband. Simplistic style and color of his works have been living much influenced by Aztec art and culture of the Italian Renaissance frecele as well as meeting with Picasso, resulting in a personal style unmistakable.
Who is Diego Rivera
Diego Rivera Maria and his twin brother Carlos were born in Guanajuato, on 8 December 1886. Less than two years later his brother died. His parents were Diego and Maria Barrientos Rivera Diego de Rivera. His father worked as a teacher and newspaper editor for a health inspector. His mother was a doctor.
Diego began to draw at age three. His father built him a studio a little later. As a child, Rivera was interested in trains and cars and was nicknamed "the engineer". His family moved to Mexico City, Mexico, in 1892.
In 1897 he began studying painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Mexico City. His instructors were Andrés Ríos, Felix Para (1845-1919), Santiago Rebull (1829-1902), and José María Velasco (1840-1912). Para showed him Rivera's Mexican art, which was different from European art. Rebull taught that a good design is based on a good painting. Velasco taught how to create three-dimensional effects. He was also influenced José Guadalupe Posada's activity (1852-1913), who produced scenes of daily life of Mexicans, engraved on metal.
