LG bolsters litigation team with O'Shea hire
LG has strengthened its London commercial litigation practice by bringing in Eoin O'Shea as a partner from Simmons & Simmons.

O'Shea, who was an associate at Simmons, advises on international disputes and arbitration matters, with a particular focus on corruption and white-collar crime.

The latest hire comes as LG moves to bolster its litigation practice and follows the February recruitment of a four-lawyer team from US firm Dorsey & Whitney.

Dispute resolution partners Jean-Pierre Douglas-Henry, James Curle and Thomas Ross joined LG's commercial litigation practice from Dorsey with associate Verity Barker, positioning the firm to target litigation against banks.

O'Shea said: "This was a great opportunity to go to a dynamic firm to develop my practice. Commercial litigation plays a large part in the firm and they are really ramping up their white-collar practice."

LG dispute resolution head Andrew Witts added: "He was a natural addition to the firm and follows our plan to invest in and grow our commercial litigation practice, particularly in the area of corporate risk and regulation. He is great on corporate risk and already has a good profile."

LG has eight partners in its commercial litigation practice with 16 advising on dispute resolution matters generally.
