Moldova: Marian Lupu, the only presidential candidate on Friday

"LDP will vote for Marian Lupu as president," said Vlad Filat end IEA Council meeting, stressing that they have agreed and signed an annex to the agreement on the Alliance, its members undertake not to cooperate with the PC after the elections.
"We agreed that this document will be signed. This is not one that concerns Mr. Marian Lupu, but is signed by the three parties," said Filat, referring to Annex Agreement.
Regarding the presidential election, LDP leader called for optimism. "The time that has passed is too much to remain in a state of permanent pessimism," said Filat.
However, Liberal Democrat leader reiterated his party's support to the presidential election of Marian Lupu. "LDP signed by 31 deputies. As we commitments, we will respect them and further," he said.
Liberal Party leader Mihai Ghimpu said that IEA members agreed to participate in the elections of 16 December. "Give God to be as we speak tonight," he said at the meeting Tuesday evening Alliance.
At the same time, he said that the votes needed to elect him president will be found outside the Alliance members, reminding the group of deputies Igor Dodon and PCRM. "Do not hurry, it is important to have the votes," said Liberal leader.
Marian Lupu said in turn that the document agreed between the three parties of the Alliance is short and does not revise the basic agreement.
"This agreement is one that trilateral relations WARRANT. I do not think that someone must be held innocent and someone else to see in black color. I accepted the idea of such a document," said Lupu.
Lupu denied that he met Tuesday with Dodon but said he would discuss not only this, but also with non-affiliated MP Michael Godea.
He also said that deputies will present the ballot Democrats and the front and back. "The day will be a decisive 16. The question is serious: either choose the president, or go to the elections," said Lupu.
