Poland opposes a Europe with 'multi-speed'
"Any alternative to the European Union 27 member will be fatal to Europe," said Polish Prime Minister in the Congress of the European People's Party (EPP) held in Marseille (France). 'We will always repeated that we need a European community which must remain united. This involves decisions that do not exclude anyone and does not create a two-speed Europe ', he added.
'Those who wish to form an exclusive club looks for opportunities that an enlarged Europe can offer. Interests be protected by strengthening national Union of 27 states. This is key, "the Polish official believes.
France and Germany will propose a joint European partners to revise the European Treaties to enforce budgetary discipline in all EU countries. But EU member states are divided on solutions to the crisis and how it should be implemented.
Consequently, many European officials fear that the euro area countries are preparing to enter into an agreement valid only for themselves and to give such treaties applicable to review of all 27 states, thus risking to create divisions within the Union.
